Still reeling from the USA vs. Ghana match… and feeling very, very bummed. It was amazing to watch the US try their best against Ghana, a team with a young age average and good speed and energy. The team has been doing very well and has also been utterly lucky to this point of the competition. Players like Landon Donovan and Tim Howard were great to watch. And it was incredible to watch the unifying team effort just when the game was about to close, after Ghana was 1 up. One of my favorite moments in the match occured during extra time, when the whole USA team - including Tim Howard, the goalkeeper - pulled up the field into Ghana’s side in an attempt to score an equaliser. No doubt, they tried their very best, gave it their all. Great game, USA, and congrats to Ghana for moving on to the quarter-finals.
Now that this match is over, time to move on and root for the other teams that have chances!
