This month’s Crayoncrunch assignment: Kriscrash’s super cool warrior lady, Hun Xiǎo Shan. [With a storybook twist!] This was a really interesting character! I had lots of fun going through some research and getting to know what inspired her design … The “demon” here is a floppy eared temple guardian loosely based on this handsome fellow.

Map of Japan built from 1.8+ million LEGOs
Children from all over Japan were invited to participate in this event, in which a giant map of Japan was created using only LEGO pieces. The result was a future vision of Japan, re-imagined by the future designers of the world, as a megalopolis of vertical motion.
